Cornell University is an American private university located in Ithaca, New York. Cornell University is considered one of the most prestigious and richest American universities, despite it being the newest member of the Ivy League of American universities. Ezra Cornell founded Cornell University on April 22, 1865, where his educational vision was to teach “any person any study.” Cornell University continued in the footsteps of its founder, whose slogans the university raises at every opportunity, and places excerpts from his speeches, writings, and vision in its publications and in every corner of Its cornerstones are that it is the spiritual father of this university, and Cornell was not satisfied with these slogans, but applied them in practice, as history indicates that successive administrations are working to expand the university and develop education in it.

In 1868, the university’s first private building was built in Ithaca, which is considered the main site of the university. It contains more than 260 buildings. Cornell University is considered a private and public university at the same time. The land was a grant from the State of New York, while it was built with money from the people. It is considered a member of the prestigious Eastern Universities Association and a partner in the State University of New York.

The university’s buildings are distributed over three locations: the main one in Ithaca, while the other locations are in New York and Doha. It includes a number of colleges, including the College of Architecture and Life Sciences, Architecture, Arts and Planning, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the College of Hotel Services, in addition to many schools in law and humanities, among others. The number of faculty members reached 2,627 at the end of 2005, while the number of students reached 20,299 male and female students.
